The error that you reported indicates that courier did not think the 
domain was local.  You may not have run "makehosteddomains" after adding 
the pmcos domain to the hosteddomains file.

I don't see any reason to believe that it doesn't.

That is not correct.  Aliases will only be available after running 
"makealiases".
