Hello,

have setup courier-proxy and it reject based on <zen.spamhaus.org> and
forward the connection to the appropriated mbox-Server which is working
now.

The setup can be enhanced by adding more seperated courier-imap-proxy
and courier-mta-proxy machines in parallel if the number of my customers
(or the incoming messages) increse.

The physicaly setup is, that the <mx-NN> and <imap-NN> are connected
with one GE interface to a switch which is directly connected to my
network router (CISCO 7600) and with the second GE interface to an
internal switch (private network) and the <pgsql>, <dns-internal> and
the <mbox-NNN> servers.

So, currently I have

 1 x Internet Access 1 Gbit Non-Redunant
(will increase it FTTH is added; currently only WLAN)
 1 x CISCO 7600
(will be replaced because it is ways to small)

 1 x courier-{imap,mta}-proxy IBM x335 (2x 3,0 GHz, 2 GB Ram)
 2 x pgsql (+slony) IBM x335 (2x 3,0 GHz DualCore, 4 GB Ram)
 2 x bind9 (internal) IBM x335 (2x 2,4 GHz, 2 GB Ram)
16 x mailbox servers IBM x345 (2x 2,4 GHz, 4 GB Ram)

Each of the mbox-NNN servers hold currenly 1200 accounts with arround
30-40.000 HAM messages per day. (do not ask about crappy SPAM)

Now my question is:
What is the best setup for spamfiltering? Exspecialy if the
number of customers increase to more then 100.000.

Should I setup some extra servers with spamassassin/clamav-ng
and use spamc/spamd of the network?

I have tried courier-pythonfilter on the <courier-proxy> with clamav-ng/
spamassassin and failed because I was not able to setup per user rules.

Any help welcome.

Note: We are currently seting up the WHOLE Datacenter with nearly
300 Servers wnere we wlil have over 100 <mbox-NNN>.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening
    Michelle Konzack
