Hi all, Is there a reasonably up to date HOWTO on getting SMTP authentication working?
In the past, I've bypassed this problem by using OpenVPN, and just including my laptop and other systems on the VPN, so that the SMTP daemon could treat them as being on the local network. That doesn't seem to be an option with my Android tablet, which requires root access to install OpenVPN, and for which no exploit seems to be currently working (and even if there were, it might be overridden with the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade due out shortly). What I'm finding on the web so far just leaves me with the same failure to authenticate I get without having done anything. Thanks! -- David Benfell <[email protected]> http://www.parts-unknown.org/
