Hi.

We have used courier MTA for some years in production environment, but
only with local delivery in existing user-homedirs or fully virtualized
accounts (all made via ".courier" files).

As some of our users want to have spam filtering on SMTP level (with the
possibility to reject malicious mail instead of dropping or bouncing),
we now want to have a closer look on smtp level mail filters, maybe
maildrop.

I read a lot on the courier web site, but I think I missed something
important.
Can someone point me to a overview how maildrop (or any other mail
filter) can be configured to run as an SMTP service, configurable by
users. Not all mail shall be filtered, only when the target user
configures to do so.

  Bernd
