Hi all I am the e-mail administrator at a University and I have the following problem. My mail server runs Debian 6.0.5 and Courier 0.65 (debian package) I used to have a Netapp FAS2020 NAS (Network Attached Storage) where the mailboxes were kept and everything worked fine. Recently I moved (rsync -a) the mailboxes to a new Windows 2008 Server based NAS (namely Dell Powervault NX3100).

What exactly "deliver: Is a directory" mean ...??? It is supposed to be a directory after all, since it is a maildir ... In addition messages are delivered alright in maildir subfolders using dot-courier (.courier-zzzzz) ...!!! I assumed that there is something peculiar in my maildir that confuses mail delivery, so i created a brand new maildir. At first it worked fine and messages were deliverd for a while but soon the problem appeared again. When I switch to the old Netapp system everything works fine ... Any ideas ...???
