Precomputed CRAM-SHA1 hashes should be stored in the hmac-sha1pw field, not the 'passwd' field.
Note, that they can be used with CRAM-SHA1 authentication method only. Clients that do not support CRAM-SHA1 will not be able to log in. This is typically used when, by policy, only CRAM-SHA1 authentication method can be used to log in, and the precomputed SHA1 hash avoids the need to retain cleartext passwords on the server.
