That's really strange. I searched the spec file and the only reference 
to setting the ltdl-lib I could find was a commented-out copy of the 
original %configure line. I removed that, rebuilt the tar.bz2 file and 
it continued past the ltdl error, but got another error later in the 
process. I then removed all of the extra commands that we added and was 
able to create the RPMs.

Apparently, even though I put a # at the beginning of the original 
%configure line, it was still being used somehow.
