As I understand it, IPv6 addresses are assigned in /64s to endpoints. Your hosts' MAC addresses form the second half of the IPv6 address, by default.
As such, in order for IPv6 reverse DNS to work, your internet provider has to delegate reverse DNS to you. I'm skeptical that most ISPs will have established processes for doing that, so reverse DNS for IPv6 addresses seems to be a problematic proposition, and Google insisting on reverse DNS for connecting IPv6 addresses appears to be intended to stymie everyone but large ISPs from sending mail to Google.
