Merged and pushed.

But the language John sent for the PFN for 209 isn't quite right: there was
no "linear update" section in 209 before.  There are two paragraphs about
it.  I'll link to them from the PFN.  But they don't specify *which* enum-set
argument would be modified in the case of procedures whose names end with
"!" and take more than one enum-set argument.  I'm assuming that the first
argument should always be the only one mutated.  Is that right?  (That
needed clarification regardless of this change.)
