At the Philly Meetup this past monday, someone asked a question that may or may not have been covered, but it isnt in the archive of this group so I will bring it up.
Are any spaces considering offering low-cost childcare in the same location? Obviously this is a tough one and is very specific to the people and location resources available, but I thought it could be an interesting thing to bring in a couple of childcare professionals who are used to working out of their house but instead, give them a captive audience...some indies that need their kids taken care of while they work. This could be enough extra work for the child care folks to justify paying for an external space out of their home, and could become another incentive for people to cowork. The idea isnt fully baked, but while im thinking on it I wanted to toss it out there. I should add, also, that I do not have kids, and know very little about the intricacies of handing off kids to a 3rd party care person. (see, i dont even know how to make it not sound like a technological exchange!)
