I am a former San Jose Mercury News reporter and current freelancer. I'm working out of my home right now, but will be looking for a shared workspace or co-working arrangement in the Silicon Valley area starting in December 2008.
I'd be happy to help with efforts to get a homegrown co-working space up and running, particularly if it involves writers, journalists and other content folks. Those for-profit business centers (www.regus.com) seem pretty expensive and sterile, and I don't need a secretary to answer the phones.
