Today we signed the lease on a house to setup the first coworking space in Montevideo, Uruguay
It took: * 7 months after we started floating the idea * 4 months of looking at potential spaces to rent * 34 houses visited in the search * 5 failed offers on renting houses * 8 coworkers who are joining day 1 * 4 coworkers who gave up on us because it took too long * 6 rooms in the house we eventually rented * 110,000 pesos required before they'd give us the keys I threw up some before pictures, from us viewing the house as it is now. http://flickr.com/photos/rabble/sets/72157611788368324/ The house is on a cobble stone dead end street one block from the rambla, beach, and a big park. And for me personally at least, it means that my commute is now literally a walk through the park. I live on the other side of the park. :) Here's the office location on a map: http://bit.ly/coworking-mvd-map There's not internet yet, but people are going to start working from the space tomorrow using 3G modems. We'll tackle getting furniture and the like next week! saludos, evan --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group.
