Hello all, My name is Mike and live and work in North Phoenix. I've been self employed since 2001as a software/hardware engineer/web dev/ field engineer/illdoanyhtingforabuckineer, typically working by myself. It's taken it's toll for the same reasons I'm sure everyone is familiar with, otherwise you probably wouldn't be reading this. I'm hoping coworking will help that.
There is a general lack of any sort of coworking in the North Phoenix area. Everything seems to be in downtown or even farther south. On a whim, I started doing some research last weekend and I ended up creating a website.. www.collablab.net "..where Phoenix comes to collaborate" Basically I want it to be a place that people can share ideas and find others to collaborate with, as well as organize coworking or "maker" type events. Please check it out, read the "About", and read posts about the coworking event's I'd like to start. Post your own projects or events. And most importantly, send me your comments (good or bad, I'll take them all) and suggestions. Hope to see some of you around soon.
