hey there, it's been a while since I introduced the betahaus to the coworking group.i thought, i should update you guys in case you are around berlin, to take a look at betahaus. Well, how should I say? a very huge lot has happened since then. I think we do have a quite a different situation in berlin comparing to the rest of the world, since it is somewhat a capital of the creative industries with rents so low that everybody can have his own office everywhere. to give you an idea: we started renting out desks for 100 Euro per month including everything. and people keep coming just like that. still it is not cheap and you can have offices for 70 (nice ones). we opened a provisionary coworking space with 260 sqmeters three weeks ago and all 30 desks are rented out already. I called this provisionary because in the ground floor we are building a café where people can drop in and work more like starbucks to be opened in april that will have another 300 sqm. Regarding media it's is ironic: We are trying not to raise to much attention while journalists are asking for interviews, because we are quite busy to keep the first space running and building the next one. It seems to be of big interest here in germany and I am quite impressed about the feedback since we never did any PR - Work, only facebook and twitter. Our blog and homepage is in german, but I try to keep you posted here from time to time. Anyway, if you can manage to be around at the 27th of march, come and visit our inauguration party at betahaus. ;)
