I started a geek/creatives meetup here in the South Bay of Los Angeles, Torrance/Redondo Beach/Manhattan Beach/Hermosa Beach/etc. because of this. Long Beach isn't too far from us, and I'm not intending this to be a "locals only" thing. Our first one, http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/1505090, was great but small. I'm hoping for Mar. 9th for our next one. Feel free to drop in and meet some
My goal in starting this up was to see what kind of community we could build here, and from that I would like to start a coworking spot. First, I wanted to make sure there were going to be people. I suppose I should also start by introducing myself to this community. :) Kelly Sims http://kellysims.com http://twitter.com/kellysims On Feb 18, 3:41 pm, daveconrey <[email protected]> wrote: > With the economy spinning wildly as it is now, I'm anticipating an > impending freelance career.
