hi,

competition is part of every business venture. shared offices are
still competitors to coworking spaces, as are hackerspaces, executive
suites, and cafes with large tables. they all have people working in
them that could potentially just as easily work in your space. other
coworking facilities are our competitors too, and as the movement
grows, there will be more of a demand for it in each region. our
toronto location isn't even open yet, and trevor is already starting
efforts to open a space in mississauga. technically he'll be
competition because he could take a few bodies away from our coworking
space.

as for corporations bleeding the coworking model with their own
business model, i remember an article from about a year ago about how
it could be viable to have fedex/kinko's offer coworking space. be it
a copy shop or a coffee shop, i think there is always the possibility
that someone will try to do something that others are doing well.
