HeatherO gave the wrong URL for the area code networking groups, it's : http://insideareacodes.com/ (the other one appears to be for bars)
If you're not in the 919 area code, it's going to be new to your area (just launched), but it's a great resource for connecting small businesses without the sales pitches. Inside919 has gone from 0 to over 1300 in just a few months, and has kicked out nearly 300 for not playing by the rules (read: no spamming).
