Through our network we get approached by people wanting to give
workshops in our coworking location. If the workshop is open to our
own members we are try to create a combined member event / workshop.
Members who opt in see this as a one of the key benefits of being part
of a coworking space. In this model we do not charge for the space.
For the person giving the workshop it's a win because they get the
space free of charge and we can supply a number of interested
participants through our member network, We try to schedule an event
like this about once a month.

If the workshops are not for our members but it is purely about using
the space for others we'll charge a fee for that and would have no
further involvement. You do have to watch out here because it may be
welcome from a revenue perspective but at the same time you have to
check the response from your members - they may find it a nuisance (if
they can't use the space for the duration of the workshop, or if it's
noisy etc).

Since we target freelancers / contractors / independent workers there
are many themes that can be of interest for a workshop: networking,
sales / marketing / acquisition, social media, business planning,
administration / fiscal / legal, etc... In this market a lot of
interest goes to the first three topics.

Good luck!
