Hi, It has been quiet but a lot has happened in the Czech Republic! two Coworking places have opened so far, one in Prague (Coffice; www.coffice.cz) and one in Brno (Brno Coworking Centre; www.bcwc.cz). Two more places in Ostrava and Jihlava are planned.
To get everyone up-to speed again..... The project (and blog) PragueHUB (www.praguehub.com) has been superseded by a new project called The Works (www.theworks.cz) with a better vision and will as such be focussed on getting people used to the concept of Coworking before they'd sign-up for a Coworking Space by organizing casual working events (Jellies). After visiting a number of coworking spaces, reading Alex Hillmans posts and also looking at the Czech culture (openness and collaboration requires a lot of trust first) I believe this is the right approach. TheWorks.cz brings together all Coworkers either working in Coworking spaces or working during casual working events. It hopefully will also facilitate a coworking visa in CZ and maybe international.
