Yo coworkers! Things are chugging along here at NWC, with just over one week to go until we leave our current home. We're about to ink a deal with our neighbors at Green Spaces, who reached out to us and have been amazing in working with us to come up with an arrangement to share their space during our transition period.
Along the way, I've been blogging as much of the experience as I can. I'm doing this primarily to foster community participation in everything that's happening along the way, but my secondary objective is so that our experience can be looked at as a case study for the greater coworking movement to learn from. In case you haven't been following along, I thought I'd share a quick digest of what's been posted so far. I'd love your thoughts on any of this, but mostly just wanted to share. *New Project: NWC 2.0* An overview of what happened to lead to our new move and where we plan to go from here http://nwc2.tumblr.com/post/508273948/new-project-nwc-2-0 *Opening Up* Discussing the importance of sharing as much as you can and relying on the community when you're in a pinch http://nwc2.tumblr.com/post/508314572/opening-up *Tour of Green Spaces* Three videos of my tour of Green Spaces, which I shared with the community to get their initial thoughts on the space. http://nwc2.tumblr.com/tagged/greenspaces *Update: Green Spaces! Tours! Money! Brokers! Logistics! Dogs and Cats Living Together!* A big update on everything that's been going on-- because I didn't want to wait until everything was perfect and ready to announce before sharing it. http://nwc2.tumblr.com/post/538534840/update-green-spaces-tours-money-brokers-logistics *Going off the Grid* Why I think we may need to take an alternative approach to finding a space. This is a preamble for the next post... http://nwc2.tumblr.com/post/541379315/going-off-the-grid *The NWC 2.0 Space Scavenger Hunt* Crowdsourcing our search for a funky little space in Manhattan that might not show up in the usual real estate systems. http://nwc2.tumblr.com/post/541397214/the-nwc-2-0-space-scavenger-hunt I hope these stories end up being helpful to you and to new people who embark on similar journeys in the future. That and so much more to come! Cheers, Tony --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Work City - Work with, not for.
