Hello coworking community, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Marilee Bowles-Carey, and I am an independent design researcher pursuing a dual masters in both design and business at the Institute of Design and Stuart School of Business at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
I feel drawn to coworking because I have experienced first-hand the creative boost that an open, collaborative environment can stimulate (my background is in design), and I think there is potential for coworking to create new value for a really interesting segment of our economy. So, being the enthusiastic design planner that I am, I would like to try to map the future opportunity space for coworking, and see if in the process I can discover a sustainable business model or set of models that would enable me to open my own space. I would very much like to join the conversation taking place on this blog. I hope to get a blog of my own up by the end of summer, where I can share what I learn and invite feedback and critique. In the meantime, hello! Marilee -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
