Hello,

I joined the group about 9 months ago and I think I was supposed to
send an introduction, but I never did. Apologies for that. I've lurked
mostly and sent a few messages.

My name is Gerard Sychay. I am a web developer in Cincinnati, OH. I'm
happy to report that Cincinnati Coworks (http://www.cincycoworks.com)
opened for its members last Tuesday. Last night, we had our first
event, a talk on Git (a version control system for software) by one of
the founders of Github.com.

Including my partner and I, we have 6 full-time members who've
committed funds for 6 months. We have a tiny storefront space in a
neighborhood adjacent to downtown Cincinnati. We're still scavenging
for furniture, and formulating our policies (if any) for part-time
members and drop-ins. We've stuck to a zero-sum, pay-as-you-go
strategy and split costs evenly where we could, so we open in the
black, save for the cost of things like paper towels, toilet paper,
and last night's pizza.

It feels like it took us 9 months and all we did was split the rent
for a space between 6 people. I'm being facetious of course, but now I
realize just how hard any entrepreneurial venture is, no matter how
small, whether retail, startup, service, what-have-you. I've benefited
from this group immensely, and try to contribute where I can. The
journey never ends of course, but I thought this milestone deserved
recognition.

Thanks again,
Gerard Sychay
