We use a referral fee. If a new member references you in their application (we have a specific 'referral' question), then you receive a credit equivalent to one month's cost of the package they sign up for. We have found this to be a good way to incentivize word-of-mouth development, without being heavy-handed or leading to charges of favouritism, etc.
