I live on Bainbridge Island, WA—just one beautiful ferry ride away from downtown Seattle. I'm a designer/artist working from my home, which I like very much in many ways. But for a couple years I've thought, "This is pretty lonely. I miss human contact. There must be a place here where I can rent space with a bunch of other people who are lonely working at home, too." But as far as I can tell so far, there's not.
So, my partner and I are embarking on what we hope will be a successful venture founding a coworking space on Bainbridge. If you are a local and know of a space here already, or would be interested in joining one, please let me know! We'll be putting together a survey soon to test the waters here and see just what people might be interested in if this came to be. If survey says "Great Idea!", then we're gonna do this thing.
