Thanks Rob. Dana, subsequently Parker, and our most recent addition Jim, all came to work with Indy Hall for different reasons - and the outcomes of their experience have been different. But fundamentally, it's been enthralling to watch each of them take ownership of the position and make it more of an asset to Indy Hall, as well as have an experience where they're able to change their own course.
We could simply hire interns to take care of admin work, and by sheer proximity and serendipity, they'd probably leave with some lessons learned (typical internship). But we've looked for people who want to do MORE than the admin work, even if they don't know what that *more* is yet (especially if they don't know what that *more* is yet). Those people tend to have the most gumption, they'll try riskier things, harder things, and see higher occurrences of success.
