Hi Everyone! My name is Sara and I am the founder of Greenpoint CoWorking (www.greenpointcoworking.com). We will be opening our space on January 3, 2011 at 240 N. Henry St, Brooklyn, NY 11222. Very exciting!
First off, I want to thank everyone who is a part of this group and the general online coworking community. The tangible sense of openness, transparency and community I've seen and felt since starting this project, is not only incredibly helpful, but makes me feel super proud and honored to be a part of. So–THANK YOU. Secondly, I am strongly committed to building a sense of community, making members of our space feel like they really are a part of something at GPCW. Simultaneously, it's important that the space lend itself to getting work done. I'd appreciate any suggestions as to how to balance this dual purpose. Third, I'd love any suggestions on great project management tools for a coworking space, some people have already suggested Basecamp, but I'm wondering if there's anything else out there that's more tailored to this sort of thing.
