Working on several solo consulting projects, I live and die by email, and I'm curious what others use to handle the craziness, particular across a dozen or so accounts. (Rather than use just one tool, I have to rely on several others for various functionality)
Gmail (what I use for search and recently started using with the free Boomerang plugin, which gives a lot of flexibility) Google Gears (hit or miss; often doesn't work so I have to uninstall) I check multiple email accounts, so I sometimes prefer to use a client that lets me see them in order that they come in. Thunderbird 3 (trashed it after a few months because it kept locking up) Postbox (basically, a for pay version of Thunderbird 2 that is very stable when downloading hundreds or thousands of email at a time) Outlook 2007 (great conversation threading [assuming you replied in Outlook], works very poorly with IMAP connection to Google servers, but I like the calendaring and "send later" function) Apple Mail (simple and fast when either Postbox or Outlook give problems) -- Also on LinkedIn?
