Greetings all, I'm a longtime coworking advocate from Santa Cruz. While I've been on the list since 2007, I have only just recently posted to the group when the Citizen Space announcement came out a while back. My focus over the past few years has been in building our local geek community in Santa Cruz. My community building led to the launch of NextSpace and I've been a key community troublemaker ever since. It has been quite the journey learning how cultivate and grow a community and the coworking group has been a great asset and a culture carrier for bringing the coworking movement here. Many thanks to both Alex and Tara for specific contributions you made along the way.
I have thoughts I'd like to contribute to the various efforts that are popping up on the group and want to give you a sense of who I am before I start joining in on various conversations. I've participated in a number of communities (Drupal and public media) that have overlapping threads that I think will be beneficial to this group. I've just started working with LiquidSpace as their community manager and I'm a community advisor to NextSpace. But please remember I'm a coworking native and my thoughts are my own :) I will be at the unconference and looking forward to engaging in conversation with everyone and contributing back to the group.
