hello, I'm Thomas, quite new to the "coworking" world but really happy about the idea and all stuff that is going on. Since I'm living in France many things just start to happen here and coworking spaces are still rare, especially outside Paris (Toulouse, south).
I've been an independent IT (mostly web dev, ruby, linux, bsd) consultant in Toulouse, South of France for the last 2 years. After talking with some people in different fields (web dev, design, ...) and testing some places I've ended up thinking that we need to create a coworking space. Already, about 5 to 10 people have signed up to keep posted about the project or help. Since I know that I'm totally unaware of all the stuff involved with creating a CW space I've been reading posts at IndyHall's blog, Alex Hillman's blog, deskmag, Mutinerie (coworking space in Paris, France), this group archives and more. I'm also happy to get feedbacks or ideas about this. I've created a website to allow people to sign up to get an idea of how many people are up for it : http://tau.arbousier.info (french only atm), recently added a blog part to it, with a first post this morning (organizing a kickstart event, 1 day of coworking with all the interested people, to check a bit more what's the mood). There is already a Coworking space in town but it doesn't fit my needs or those of some other people I've met there and around there. thanks to all for all the work that allows new comers like me to get in and join the gig' best regards, -- Thom -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group.
