Some places have formed a consulting group where the space is the
brand and members bid on large projects under that brand. This allows
for members to easily come together to take on projects that may need
5 or more people. By bidding under the space's consulting brand, the
brand stays consistant and gains a reputation even though the members
working on the project are interchanged based on the skills needed or
if they are still members or not. The space makes money by taking a
percentage of the project (10% or so).

Some spaces may also take in revenue or reduce expenses by having
sponsors. Turnstone has done that for us and several other coworking
spaces throughout the US.
