Although not totally up to date, the Coworking Directory (
http://bit.ly/hIWLAV) provides a list of coworking spaces globally.

Loosecubes counts approx. 240 active U.S. coworking spaces on our site, and
upwards of 350 active coworking spaces around the world.

We don't currently have data on coworking space square footage per city, but
based on what we've seen, NYC/Brooklyn, SF, Berlin, London, and perhaps
Austin seem to be some of the more densely 'coworked' cities overall.
Deskmag's recent coworking research also indicates that these cities (with
the exception of Austin) are high-growth coworking locations (see:
http://bit.ly/eRyZqU).

Steve King of Emergent Research provides additional insight into such trends
in his "Coworking Labs" blog: http://bit.ly/azjR8j.

Interested to hear what others deem the most densely populated coworking
cities based on square footage!

Thanks!
