We're really trying to engage some of our more dynamic members into sharing their expertise on different topics areas as part of a lunch & learn or after hours sort of training session this fall. I have two ulterior motives here:
* I want to make sure we keep cultivating the coworking culture of knowledge sharing and cutting edge thinking inside our space, as well as getting members to see themselves on a subject matter expert (everyone is a SME on something they are passionate about) that others can learn from. * I want to attract others to the space by seeing it as a place that adds value beyond "office space". Members get this; those who don't understand coworking still scratch their heads on the "so what" if they just see us as a "rent-a-desk" office. I have a handful of folks on board already, so the topics are begin to come together. That said, a few others are asking for examples of topics other spaces are running that garner interest and excitement. Although I am not planning to just cut and paste what's working in other spaces into ours, I do feel there are some great ideas and topics that could peak interest here happening elsewhere. If you'd be so kind as to humor me, could you post your 3 favorite training/learning/sharing sessions that have happened (or are schedule to happen) in your space in 2011? This might be good fodder for other spaces who offer sessions, or those who don't and want to start. Thanks in advance for your contributions.
