Derek- You've hit the nail on the head. This was reinforced for me this week when working with a past member of our space. She's not a collaborator, she's a "hoarder" (of knowledge, expertise, feedback, etc.). She saw our space as a place to work, not a place to collaborate, which in part is why I believe she left. She got out of it what she put into it... and in her case, that was very little.
