A happy note: the best part about this story - one of my members actually pitched it to Mercury News.
The mood in our space was celebratory the day the story broke, with members hi-fiving each other and congratulating each other for getting a quote/their pic/pic of their coffee cup in the paper. Pretty amazing stuff for a relatively new community. Like a proud mom, I have to share the original link, because it has some great shots of our space and our members: http://www.mercurynews.com/business/ci_19004951?IADID My only beef with the story is that the editor wouldn't take the hyphen out of coworking.
