i'm hoping others have insightful tips and share too! information like this
increase in value and their power when shared :-)

Rena, thank you for the update!

please let me know which topical areas you're seeking short and long term
help with?

i'm sensing your immediate toughest decisions are trade offs -- choosing
what _Not_ to do :-?

i'm feeling your vision and mission, and sensing seeds of culture
budding. i can imagine fun n' adventurous experiences pitching makeshift
society's strengths -- our people, location, timing and opportunities

intuiting from my experiences in managing volunteers... people enjoy happy
feelings -- witnessing their contributions immediately making a difference.
it's that being in the moment feeling / vibe / flow ... during personal
learning opportunities, and/or sparking memorable emotions of "aha!"
resonating with their value systems positively short and/or long term

hence directing traffic of many volunteers' a very challenging yet
rewarding opportunity and experience in itself!

suggestion #1: directing traffic (foreground)

find a person with passion and talent for learning event management skills
and delegating primary responsibilities to him or her

while event management (especially with volunteers) is an area i have hands
on experience with, these days... i tend to accelerate --> booster shot it
from behind the scenes. if needed, i can help facilitate and teach / mentor
it as skill set to one or more people

suggestion #2: automatic payments (background)

instead of designing a full website that can accept payments... have you
considered using eventbrite and/or competitive services to do it
http://www.eventbrite.com/fees/ ?

for example, you'd want to create different tickets matching each
membership level; i hope this helps!
