When one of our playlists end, the silence is deafening. It's a mad scramble to turn the music back on.
Even if people don't like the music on, a little ambient noise has a huge impact on people's willingness to converse. They don't feel like they are "breaking the silence. BONUS POINTS: take member-submitted playlists or stations and rotate them.
