Manuel and all, I'm really digging this conversation about coworking exchanges. Vermont is a lovely state nestled in the northeast United States. We share a border with Canada; Montreal is closer to us than any major U.S. city. Vermont is a rural, mountainous landscape dotted with more than 200 small towns and villages, punctuated by a few large-ish population centers including Burlington, Montpelier, St Johnsbury, Bennington, Rutland, Brattleboro, and White River Junction.
Each of these either has or in the process of developing, a coworking space. In theory, one could literally take a "coworking tour" across our beautiful small state. Local 64 in Montpelier is an interesting collection of independents - writers, engineers, developers, game producers, artists, and more. I think there would be a healthy interest among many to begin exploring other coworking spaces - in the U.S. and beyond - through this great "exchange" idea. Perhaps couple with either couchsurfing, airbandb, or straight up house/apartment swaps something very cool can be worked out. I look forward to learning more! --- Lars Hasselblad Torres local64.com | create + play + share @local64vt | 802-595-0605 On Sep 8, 2012, at 4:39 AM, [email protected] wrote: > People is talking a lot about this in Spain too. > Coworkers want to do some exchange betwwen countries. > But it have to be place to work+place to live together. > theres is going to be a big exchange between Betahaus(berlin) and Utopicus > (madrid) 15-30 September. > Around 10 coworkers form utopicus are moving to berlin for 15 days (place > to live and place to work) > Sounds great -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group.
