Hi Caroline, We're in the process of setting up a space in Surrey and have been reaching out to the local community, other spaces in the south east of England and other spaces across the UK. Check out my post from earlier this week for the motivations and insight into what we're trying to do by engaging with other coworking spaces in the UK.
We've just set up a LinkedIn group called Coworking UK and a sub-group specifically for space owners/operators. From my efforts this week I came across a Coworking UK Google group which has been set up and being managed by a few spaces in the south east. They've been collaborating for a little while now and so it's worth checking out and maybe reposting there. https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!forum/coworkinguk I've also been talking to a few other spaces in the making and some more established spaces and the general view seems to be that people are keen to collectively raise the profile of coworking in the UK and to work together in achieving that. There are tentative plans to have a follow up meeting between spaces in the south east and if it happens this might well be useful for your research. Also there has been a passing mention of trying to establish a Coworking UK event next year.
