Ryan, In my opinion co-working will shortly explode but not in the way that it is currently formatted. Yes the existing co-working space will possibly remain as such. The US need about 14,000 co-working spaces just to handle the transition to a new type of work force where people are part time owners and part time workers. Your observation “Coworking is a concept that many people in Worcester need but seem to be unfamiliar with.” Are similar concerns for co-worker owners all over the US and the Globe. What is the immediate solution? Funding, being able to offer your members ‘peer-assistances-review’ funding for their projects. You do not have to offer the funding directly, all you need to do is to add this feature to your business model and advertising. Your goal will be to become an expert and your co-working location the go-to-location for other co-working owners. You will get lots of inquiries based on the possibility of funding, some good and some not so good, but you will get inquires that will turn into long term tenants. One of our biggest challenges has been reaching a target audience. Coworking is a concept that many people in Worcester need but seem to be unfamiliar with. Does anyone know of any coworking enthusiast groups in Worcester that we should connect with? Or have any owner / operators faced a challenge like this and how did you solve the problem? Thanks in advance for your feedback!
