Greetings group members,
I am looking to gather feedback for a coworking space just outside of Boston. My goal is to bring together any entrepreneurs, freelancers, and creative types that live outside of the city. The idea is to open a space right outside of Boston that will offer a short drive or transit access into the heart of the city. The point is not all aspiring entrepreneurs live in the city, but the ability to be close by while networking with others who have the same goals and ambitions can offer so much. We all know having an office space creates focus and is a big step in the right direction. I believe that it is people who dare to believe that there is something more out there than just a career, or a 9-5. I believe that it is these people that form robust relationships and forge great ideas and companies; and the space in which they begin is just as important as the idea itself. Below you will find a full description of my vision. I had originally posted it on craigslist to no avail, thankfully I came across this group via the coworking wiki. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you and I look forward to reading your responses. Regards, Janklod B. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Would you be interested in a collaborative, co-working office space located just outside of Boston? A space that is steps away from the T and a 10 minute ride into the city via train or car? Most importantly, are you interested in joining a community of individuals like you? Would you like to be able to network with Individuals who will shape, and are currently shaping the future with amazingly innovative products and companies? If so I urge you to continue reading… I am looking to bring an ultra-modern co-working/shared office space to the Greater Boston area. This space will be geared towards entrepreneurs, creative types, and anyone who looking to take an idea from conceptualization, to realization. While these spaces can be found throughout Boston, there remains a lack of a space that is easily accessible by car to those outside of the city. This space would allow anyone from outside Boston to drive in and park their car at no cost. The office would be located as close as possible to Boston and transit lines to allow for quick transportation into the city. Access to great restaurant options and banking will be considered for the location as well. Conference rooms and phone call booths would be available to book for hosting clients, and important conference calls. The main goal of this space is to foster collaboration and create a community of people who are trying to realize their goals. I want to bring together people from outside of Boston who may currently have office space, but are looking for more than just a chair and a desk to get work done. I want to bring people together who may never meet because traditional office space offers a just workspace; co-working space offers access to a vast network of like-minded individuals. In addition, this space would also serve as an event space for artist exhibitions, networking events, and speakers based around topics chosen by community members. I would also like to contract professionals in the areas of finance, marketing, graphic design, web development and more. These professionals would be able to meet in the office space to help you reach your goals. All of this would be made accessible for a fair monthly membership fee. But before any of this can begin to take place I need your help. Please RESPOND to this posting if you would be interested in joining a co-working space/community of this nature. I am conducting early stage research to validate this concept and would truly appreciate any and all feedback. This is an important project for me as I would be one of the first members to join this community to continue pursuing my goals. If you have read through this entire post I truly thank you (and hopefully you are interested). Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to your response! -- Visit this forum on the web at http://discuss.coworking.com --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Coworking" group.
