Having been through the pain of expanding our coworking space just last
summer (the 2nd expansion in our history), we wanted a less expensive and
difficult technique to make room for more members. With the Deskmag survey
reporting that 1/3rd of all coworking spaces plan to expand, clearly we're
not the only ones who are or will be facing this problem soon.

As many of you know, I like sharing hacks and tricks on this list, and
today, Adam came up with an idea to solve this problem that was just too
good not to share.

I present to you a new "level" of coworking membership...the "double
decker".

Apart from this making every square foot more efficient, it actually helps
you capitalize on the "accelerated serendipity" of having people work close
to each other.

*MORE CLOSER = MORE SERENDIPITY.*

This arrangement is ideal for helping new members meet existing members. If
you're new to a coworking space and have to spend the day perched on a new
coworker's shoulders, you're GUARANTEED to know them really well by the end
of the day.*

**Negative side effects may include back and neck problems, severe coffee
burns in case of top bunk spillage. Check with your insurance agent before
offering this membership level.*

Instead of licensing our new approach (I'm pretty sure this is going to get
REALLY popular, especially in the business center industry, but I think
that it's better to share good ideas for free than to get rich) I've
decided that Indy Hall will open source this new innovation to our business
model.

If anybody else ends up trying out this arrangement, please let us know
about improvements and POST PICTURES!!!

:)
