Hi there. I'm Dina Eisenberg, a conflict coach who has fallen head over heels with coworking. (who hasn't?!)
I love the collaborative spirit and genuine kindness of this community, which reminds me so much of the mediation world. One big happy family, where it was very common to form spontaneous training teams, co-write materials together and share information about pricing, marketing and more. By way of background, I practiced law early in my career, fell in love with mediation and creative problem-solving and became an Ombuds to tackle organizational culture and conflict. Transparency, connection and compassion are my touchstones, and my work is sharing how I use those tools to create a satisfying work life for myself. Thanks to Angel and Beth's wonderful book, Coworking: Building Community as a Space Catalysts<http://www.amazon.com/Coworking-Building-Community-Catalyst-ebook/dp/B005561NXC> I'm beginning the journey towards opening my own community called Boomtown. Like so many others, my goal is to bring together like-minded folks to support each other. I'm building my community around boomer entrepreneurs, freelancers, artists, coaches and transitional folk. You might say we're *empty-nesterpreneurs. * * * I say we, but for now, it's just me doing research. So grateful for the Wiki and all the valuable knowledge there. I'm really moved and want to contribute, too. The curious sort who loves a good story, I want to chronicle the stories and wisdom of the early women in coworking. (imagine that famous 'lets get ready to rumble' announcer saying it: Introducing the WOMEN OF COWORKING!) Hearing those stories is bound to be inspiring, don't you think? Already I've met some fab gals and can't wait to meet more. If you're a space operator or community manager/madame and you'd like to be interviewed, or you know of somebody I must talk to, I'd love to hear from you.
