Depending on where in the Detroit area you are, Comcast at AT&T are pretty
much your only options. There are other service providers, but they are
simply reselling either Comcast or AT&T bandwidth.

Here at Workantile in Ann Arbor, we are using Comcast business class
service at 50mbs, and have an AT&T DSL for a backup in case the Comcast
connection goes down. We have failover router which automatically switches
to the AT&T connection, and back to Comcast when Comcast comes back up. I
am actually quite pleased with the service from Comcast business services -
unlike their residential counterparts, they have been very responsive on
the rare occasions there have been problems with their connection.
