Our main room is 2,000 sf with concrete floors, lots of windows, and 14' ceilings. We have some acoustic "clouds" hanging from the ceiling, but it there were lots of echos when we started. Carpets, furniture, and bodies help. The big problem we had was that it was too quiet and the first phone call or conversation of the day would fill the whole space. Once there were 2-3 conversations going it would be fine, but we couldn't ensure that and prospective tenants couldn't tell if they'd be comfortable making phone calls. We eventually bought a good white noise system: https://www.speechprivacysystems.com/. It cost about $2,000 and took 4 hours to install. It was hard to justify the expense, but it was totally worth it. People need to feel comfortable to make phone calls and talk to each other or it just becomes a library environment. We took a secondary smaller space (1,500 sf) that was carpeted and made that into a "quiet zone".
