We're working with a corporation (in Austin, Texas) that is consciously downsizing their lease (from 20,000 to 10,000 SF) and placing many of their workers in coworking locations around the city several days per week. The main driver for them is that it ends up being less expensive for them.
Their main requirement in selecting spaces for their people to be based is that they're "professional", loosely defined as somewhere they feel comfortable bringing clients for a meeting. But for this to work for them, they need access to many coworking locations around town, not just one or two. And they need one way to pay. We're writing software that does this (we're still in private beta mode).
