A team of faculty from various departments at Ohio State founded the STEAM Factory in December 2012. It has now grown to over 150 members from over 80 different departments and offices in the university. We operate on a very lean budget and have developed a coworking space in a converted warehouse downtown which opened in 2015. Everything was designed for faculty by faculty. We have been expanding our model to other universities now.
