Alex, I love hearing you say this -- and I don't usually think of our town (Felton) in Santa Cruz County, CA as being underdeveloped -- but our power goes out at least a few times a year. We have a backup generator, and all of the members step out and count the 5 seconds until power comes back up when we lose it! (Believe it or not, we consider ourselves part of the Silicon Valley!)
