Notes from the Umpires · Please take care on the towpath. Watch where you are going (as well as watching the crew you are following) and be considerate to members of the public who may be passing through. This applies to cyclists and those on foot. · If umpires request to come by on your left hand side on the towpath, please allow them to pass as umpires will need to be between you and the river to observe the racing. Crews whose bank parties obstruct the umpires after being asked to move will be penalised.
