Dear all On Sunday 21st September City of Cambridge Rowing Club will be holding a boat naming and memorial row in memory of a CCRC member Cranch Lamble who sadly died on the 7th August.
One of his wishes was to have his ashes scattered on the Long Reach which CCRC will be honoring as part of the afternoon dedicated to him. The boat naming will be held at 2pm, after which at around 3pm a few crews from the club will row down to the Long Reach where his ashes will be scattered by his family. As such, there will be a river closure in place from 14:30 to 16:30 on Sunday 21st September. Those crews back in Cambridge that weekend should keep clear of the Long Reach during this period.
