A large number of umpires is required for the bumps to run safely, smoothly and fairly, but mostly safely. Please consider signing up to umpire, even if you haven’t done so before. You’ll get to cycle alongside races and see the action first hand, and CUCBC even throw in a free Umpires Dinner the week after Bumps as a thank you. Please note that we ask that Umpires have rowed or coxed in at least two set of Bumps to sign up. Captains; please forward onto your clubs and encourage people to sign up. Cheers, Conor
